this day at night, while laying in bed trying to sleep, i heard the strangest noise i've ever heard in my life
or moreso, i don't think the noise itself was strange, it's more like how all encompassing it was

it felt like it was coming from / resounding through everywhere, like it completely filled the space i was in, and probably if I were outside, my guess is it would've felt just the same way outside too

the noise was like a strange low humming sound, very much a noise made mechnically, by some sort of machine perhaps. I would compare it maybe to really large enigne, possibly to some aircraft or something of the sort.

and it lasted for a good 2-3 minutes, it was kind of crazy

i can really only find 2 possible explanations for this

1. there was an event setting up right next to my apartment (horse fest), and they were putting up speakers for the event. Maybe they were just testing them

2. the apartment complex where i live is right next to a company / factory that fabricates cables

though to be honest, the first explanation doesn't quite hold up for me, since the noise was so all-encompassing, i would have a hard time believing that it could come from just a set of speakers, even if they're pretty large. The sound felt like it rumbled in the ground, it felt that massive

2nd explanation might make more sense, as there was also a big plume of smoke coming out of the company at that time, so it might've been related to that. There have definitely been a few controversies about companies using late night hours to do all kinds of shady crap where i live, so it wouldn't be something new, it's just i wouldn't have expected such strange noise to accompany it, who knows

i don't really believe much in supernatural stuff or anything but man, that sure was a weeeeiiiirrrddd experience!!
