:Biography:
When it comes to play, no one does so harder than Dash! This competitive Pachycephalosaurus girl loves any good game or challenge to test her abilities, with a love for sports that began back when she was only three, when Dash saw a game of Soccer being played by her eldest brother, Bash. Ever since he entered first grade, he would often play together with a group of friends from his elementary school. As much as Dash wanted to join in on her brother's games, he would often not allow her to do so, not wanting his baby sister to get hurt, knowing just how rough games like these can go.
But Dash would insist, she can take a challenge! She recently began taking Judo lessons at the local community center, she knows she can handle herself! Still she was never allowed to participate in these games, and spent most of her time watching on the sidelines instead. Although she would sometimes take a spare soccer ball and try to emulate the moves she saw her brother and his friends pulling off. And when Bash learnt that she was practicing at home, he figured it wouldn't hurt to teach her some tricks, or at least give her some early practice, as she was so eager.
As she was reaching the age of four and a half years old, she and Bash would actually begin playing against each other in simple matches, although Dash could tell that he was clearly holding back in their games, She had seen the matches he played together with his buddies from school, and knew he was easily the best out of all his friends! and she wanted to face him at THAT level. Despite insisting that she couldn't keep up with him, Bash ultimately gave his sister what she wanted, after much persisting. And for his very first kickoff... launched the ball directly into his baby sister's face! Knocking her off her feet! Horrified, Bash rushed over to make sure his sister was okay, only to find her crying with an awful nosebleed.
Panicking, Bash attempted to calm his crying sister down, but when their mom arrived, she noticed the blood pouring out Dash's nostrils and angrily scolded her brother for playing too rough with his sister, despite Bash's attempts to explain that this was Dash's idea, his mom wrote him off and punished him for injuring his baby sister. Infuriated, Bash angrily told Dash, that this was why he didn't want to play with her! He warned her that this would happen, but she just didn't listen! His mom told him off once more, as she sent Bash too his room, causing him to angrily scowl back at Dash, but she knew better, as she could see the tears in his eyes as well, while her mother carried her off to tend to her injury.
While her mother was tending to her nosebleed, Dash was able to stop crying and finally speak up, she told her mom the truth, and that Bash really wasn't at fault, she really did ask him to go all out in that game... as her mom forgave her eldest son for scolding him earlier, Bash was surprised her baby sister owned up to her mistake, and honestly felt bad for telling her off earlier.
A few days later while Dash was practicing alone, Bash would come up to her and said he was willing to coach her in becoming better at soccer, he knew the sport well enough, that he was able to give his sister a proper training routine that would match her current abilities.
(And also, he had a falling out with one of his friends and needed an extra player.)
Surprised, Dash gladly accepted and began practicing alongside her brother, and as she got better and better, he would actually invite her to partake in the games alongside his friends! as he was still the best out of all of them, Dash would play alongside her brother in matches so the balance of the teams felt more fair. And as these games continued between her and Bash's Schoolmates, Dash was starting to match them at their level! Despite being 4 years younger than the other players.
Till this day, Dash continues to play soccer matches with her brother Bash and his pals from elementary school. While she's still not at the level of her brother, she's certainly getting there! In fact, she was improving so quickly that she would begin playing on the other team against her brother to actually balance things out! Even Bash's friends are shocked that they're now struggling to keep up with his baby sister!
As you can imagine, for all the training Dash has went through, and all the matches she's played with and against her brother, Dash is remarkably strong for a kid her age! Having an absurdly large amount of muscle and stamina for her size, making her incredibly capable at almost any physical activity, and as she's been playing against older kids for over a year now, many kids her age barely stand a chance against her! Combined with her knowledge of Judo, and you have one of the most unstoppable kids in the entire daycare!
While she has an incredibly tough exterior, Dash is known to have some insecurities about herself, mainly her body, she often worries about things like her weight, worrying if she's too chubby or skinny she wouldn't be able to keep up in sports. She's also rather sensitive about her height, being the shortest member of her team. She's also incredibly embarrassed about the fact that despite being nearly five years old, she is known to be a frequent bedwetter. The idea of being humiliated on any of these issues genuinely hurts her dignity, so whenever any of it is bought up she tends to overcompensate with phrases like "Yeah? Well I'm still faster/stronger/tougher than you!" or even fight back viciously, the latter of which often ends with a time out for her.
While she has a great relationship with her two brothers, Dash has a slightly complicated relationship with her parents, who've been pushing her to act more 'traditionally'. being so close to her two older brothers, especially Bash, has caused her to pick up a more tomboyish attitude, something her parents aren't the most fond of... and so they've been buying her things like, pink school supplies, girly toys, and feminine clothing containing skirts and dresses, many of which she's rejected in favor of wearing her brothers' old clothes. (she wasn't going to play soccer in a dress!) Her parents hope that all this would convince her act more feminine, their reasoning for this being "They just want a daughter this time, and not another son".
While she rarely brings it up, Dash feels incredibly hurt by that statement... "Just want a daughter...? Am I not... that?" She doesn't even hate everything girly, she doesn't mind some of it, she doesn't even hate the color pink! Tracy, a good friend of hers is really girly, but Dash still loves playing with her and participating in her games. She just wishes she had more options to choose the life she wants. Thankfully the daycare is where Dash can showcase many of her strengths and abilities! Her quick wit, endless stamina, and Lightning shaped birth mark on her back has earned her a bit of a nickname; "Lil' Miss Lightning Bolt"~
Interests:
As you'd expect from her biography, Dash loves physical activities the most out of all her friends!
Aside from soccer, Dash also enjoys Rollerblading! While she's only started last year, she's gotten pretty good at it, and often rides to daycare on her roller skates. While a little too young at the moment, Dash has taken an interest in Roller Derbies, as they combine some of her favorite things into a single sport! And hopes to join in as soon as she's old enough!
And as briefly mentioned above, Dash has been taking Judo lessons ever since she was three! And if the time comes, is a highly capable fighter for her age, even bigger kids should think twice before picking on her or her friends, for doing so is a one-way trip to the floor as she pins you down and forces you to tap out. Although she didn't take her lessons for the sake of using them to beat up bullies, as aggressive and rowdy as she may appear, Dash actually dislikes mindless violence, in fact, it's the main reason she took up Judo in the first place, to protect herself, and her loved ones from senseless harm.
Notes:
So Dash needed a bit of a revamp, as I believe her design was the least interesting (especially her outfit) out of all her friends, and also still contained a bunch of elements from back when she was originally intended to be a Stygimoloch.
She also now has a bit of a 'Lightning Bolt' motif, as I've often associated her with electricity, from her yellow color, energetic personality, and physical prowess.
So a lot of the new changes revamp her to an actual Pachycephalosaurus, it was quite hard to balance the very bumpy snout of an actual Pachy, while keeping it simple and consistent enough, hopefully this should do it. Also, I feel like Dash needed a proper back view, as an old commission I got of her got the back of her head wrong (I still really love that piece though). Her new design also REALLY showcases her immense strength and stamina for a kid her age. I also decided to not use the 'eyelashes = girl' trope just for her, to help her stand out from the other Dinosquad girls, as they all have them.
I also decided to move away from her being in Training Pants 24/7, and at least let her wear some big girl undies during the day, although, she still struggles to stay dry during the night. (Maybe I should design my own brand of training pants as well.)

I'm going to miss Dash being in training pants but I guess its a trade off for the shy girl getting to stay in hers. Still, part of me hopes if you introduce a new character, they get to stay in trainers or diapers.
Seriously though your writing is REALLY good. I know this is a repeated subject but I do hope you make stories or something, this stuffs too good just to keep in drawings.
They're 5 and 4.
But yeah, apologies. I thought shipping preschoolers wasn't a good idea.
And then it turns out I forgot about Clay with Dash, Ellie with Lucy and Tracy's one sided crush.
