So, lately I've been trying to work from sketches instead of trying to freedraw in GIMP. Trouble is, my printer/scanner decided to die, so right now I"m taking pics with my smartphone and uploading them, then trying to outline them in GIMP and draw that way.

But, when I do outline them, the lines come out... kinda pixely looking. Like... I zoom in to try and make any wavering lines less obvious, but when I zoom back out, the lines just look horrible. What am I doing wrong @_@
