I guess this qualifies as gift art? Anyway, this full-body pic of Zak and Kira, characters of
backlash losing their shoes in an exceptionally muddy soccer field, started out as a full-body model sheet for the design I nailed down for their appearance in my VCL webcomic.
Details revealed of their misadventures led to the completion of this model sheet as a full-fledged pic illustrating their apparent bad luck with shoes--they're always getting into situations where the loss of a shoe or two is practically inevitable. Especially Kira, who has a thing for ill-fitting flip-flops that tend to head for parts unknown even when she's not doing something to get them inadvertently sucked off.
This is also my first attempt at using two-level shading, and only the fifth time I've ever drawn anthro fox characters. Can you tell I don't yet have much experience with them?

Hah, cool! I'm most definately a complete Vans whore. And also quite the mudlover. ^^
It's always so much fun to see that there are others that also enjoy the things I'm into, even if some things are a bit less.. normal. But then again, what's normal these days. ^^;;

And that's a lotta Vans! Quite the shoe-fan, are you? :) I'd buy myself some more shoes if I had the money. Being a student and living on my own got me low on money. Still need to figure out my income/outcome pattern sometime to see where the things leak. *grin*
Mudwise, I'm more of an all-in kinda guy myself. I'd consider myself a sinker, though I wouldn't know for sure, never been under completely yet.
Perhaps, if you'd feel like it, we could take this talk to an IM or something? Would be nice to talk to you a little more, if you'd want to. :)
