The Old Man of Storr looking really tiny here.
I nearly shattered my 10 mm lens whilst scrambling up the rocks. Luckily I decided to put on the lens cap before I did that. There is a huge scratch on it now. ><
Just a short refreshing break between all the work and a capture of what I've seen on the Isle of Skye. I will definitely go back there and explore more.
Taken with a 7D and the EF-S 10-22mm USM.
foxamoore and
kebi were scared shitless when I stood close to the abyss to take the shot. I'm still sorry about acting as if I'm about to slip and fall. ^^
Thanks a lot for looking <3

is that what gives it that unreal quality? It looks almost like a (ridiculously high-quality) miniature for a high-budget movie - like you couldn't get that detail without being up close, and if you were up close, it would have to be tiny. I hope that makes sense. It's beautiful, but at least on my monitor it looks . . . impossible.
I know very little about photography, or the effects of longer exposure, etc. Heheh - I alter photos instead of taking them. I'm very interested though, especially considering the vivid final product here.

I shall upload a picture of Fox hiding from the rain. 8D
There are some amazing shots about the Sgurr nan Gillean and I still have to pick the best shots. Unfortunately we couldn't make it to scrambling up there because the plates and rocks got too slippery and our pathway turned into a waterfall. Well, next time. ^^

I feel like Europe has a lot more landscape preserved @_@ but I don't know because I haven't been out of here aside from Mexico and Canada.
I've been from California to Rhode Island, I think I've seen almost every state...it is very nice out near Colorado and Wyoming, I do love it there, miss living there. And I love the forests of my New England home. But I feel like other countries are more 'untouched'. I only see pictures like this from Europe, or New Zealand it seems. But again, I could be totally wrong hehe

Dankesehr!

That's an amazing location! Next time you go, take a shot from the little lake down there with it in the foreground and the spire in the background. That would be super dramatic. I love the lush color it has there. Man I wish I could travel to awesome places like that and break out some pictures.

You don't get vistas like this in west Texas. Really spectacular shot. I don't have a lens quite that wide, but man I'd love just to see something like this in person. I saw the comment that there was no polarizer used on this, but it really looks like there's a ND filter across the top. Amiwrong?
