"Fursuiting costs thousands of dollars. Why would I ruin a glorious piece of art like that?
Yes, it's meant to be worn and used, like a classic car is meant to be driven not let rot from being stationary; but it's not meant to be abused anymore than you'd take a classic, visually-distinct and unique car to a demolition derby.
And this isn't to say "don't be extreme" in your fursuiting. Go rock-climbing, dancing, rough-house with others if they want, go drinking, hell do take a mud-bath if you feel like it if it'll wash out. Enjoy that piece of wearable art you have. But treat it right. :) "
