A diptych I did for the Emerging Artists 30 Under 30 show this past month in Exeter, NH. I thought October was a great excuse to design Dia de los Muertos calavera makeup, and I wanted to practice tattoo designs, so these pieces kill both those birds in one shot. Also wanted to try non-paint traditional media for a change.
These are 8.5"x11" each (combined in the image), made with colored pencils, ink pencils, oil pastel and gold leaf. Sadly the scans didn't show off how pretty the gold leaf is. I'll have to try and get a proper photo of them then.
Probably gonna try for a Winter-Summer set too, possibly male this time. Once things with school calm down.
Original pieces currently NFS. Prints will be available soon!
