As Foghorn Leghorn would say, 'I'm shocked, I say, shocked! at the utter lack of Angelique fan-art. Something had to be done...
And yes, that Bath - booth, and the sign is not something I made up. It's in the extended edition of the movie. I wonder what services 'French surprise' includes - for 6 cents, it sounds like a real bargain.
If you don't know her - where have you been? Rango came, saw and conquered. Easily the best movie of this year, it's an incredible mix of essential western, (often morbid) humour and surrealist animation, starring all sorts of anthropomorphic desert animals. What more can you ask for?
And while I do have a soft spot for Beans, it is Angelique, the Mayor's sexy secretary who is the sexiest thing in this movie. While she has only very few lines, she appears a few times in the background, and like most characters, she has incredibly expressive animation... In this case, being incredibly seductive while appearing to be totally bored out of her mind. I just love how she is completely unfazed by all the crazyness around her - she only loses her cool and appears genuinely worried when the Mayor orders his goons to kill Beans, showing us at least that while there is no love lost between the two women, she is not cold-hearted.
Considering the incredible amount of detail in the source material, I choose to color this one with pencils instead of Photoshop, something I haven't done in years... and it shows...
And before anyone asks - yeah, of course I'll revisit Angelique later, and perhaps show you what a 'French Surprise' is. I am the master of "Rule 34 for Obscure Furry Characters", am I not? (Though next time, I'll stick to Photoshop coloring. My hands are aching...)

I only have one dilemma, I have no idea how 1800-era clothing works - would the white frontpiece under her green blouse be a full-on shirt, or just a single frontpiece fastened on the neck, like that white frilly thing that people wore under a frock coat...

Én a 0.5 mm-esre esküszöm. És az is törik ám mocskosul... No meg az évek során sajnos pár rotringot is elhasználtam. De azért van egy jó régi darabom ami máig működik. A tollakkal több gondom van, nem minden fekete tus alkalmas a kihúzásra, van ami elmaszatolódik ha kiradírozom a cerka-rajzot róla, itt is próba/szerencse kérdése az egész.
Heh, látom te is ezeket a képeket találtad meg róla a Google-ban. Én leszedtem a filmet BluRay-ripben, hogy jó felbontású képeim legyenek róla - no meg, mert nagyon tetszett a film. Örülök hogy úgy érzed, jól visszaadtam, ilyen részletesen kidolgozott (nézd meg EZT például - ennyire élethű szemek!) karaktert még nem rajzoltam meg korábban, és le kellett egyszerűsítenem alaposan.

I mean, I just found some incredibly well-animated proper anthros in the anime The Skull Man, then there is Adventures of T-Rex with Flo, Myrna and the Chain Gang, the busty Harpy and the muscled Wolven from Devilman Lady... So many characters, so little time.
I am afraid I know next to nothing about Oscar's Oasis...

I mean, I just found some incredibly well-animated proper anthros in the anime The Skull Man, then there is Adventures of T-Rex with Flo, Myrna and the Chain Gang, the busty Harpy and the muscled Wolven from Devilman Lady... So many characters, so little time.

Bits of it on Youtube. It's adorable. :D And I watched Skull Man, but I don't seem to recall the anthros from it. Heh. But yeah, the best thing to do is spread the word of the various awesome furry things. It seems few people bother these days. Like, I didn't get shown Mongrels by ANY of my friends, and that's about as furry as you can get! :O
Thanks! Checked it. Really funny, and she is adorable... But see, that's the problem. Call me sanctimonious, but if I like a show and find a character adorable, I just can't bring myself to draw porn of it. Especially if the character in the show has no real feminine features. Hence, while I love MLP FiM, I will never draw rule34 of it... don't even collect such pics.

Note that apart from Rena and Tetsurou, the others are one-shot characters with little screen time, and are always killed by the end of the episode. Don't want to spoil the plot (it's a quite well-written conspiration mystery), but there are experiments by a strange cult that turns people into such mutant anthro beasts, and the amount of control they have in these forms varies greatly, some can talk, some can't, some are like werewolves, ravaging beasts.
It's much different where the animators obviously wanted the character to look feminine and sexy.

Aha. I have fetishes that kind of revolve around cuteness, so I tend to look at things differently XD Like, Popy and her massively bad luck is adorable and I love mixing stuff in. Fetishes and whatnot.
As for Skull Man, some of that looks familiar. The dog and the lizard. I just plain forgot about the plot of it outside of the main character's appearance though. Kinda sad. I think Yakushiji Ryokou has some fantasy creatures mixed into it, but I don't remember if they were anthros or just beasts.

The plot is all mystery, with a lot of things that seemingly derail the investigation of the journalist protagonist - like, there is another Skull Man, a pretender trying to tie other killings ordered by his bosses to the real one's work, and generally it's about (as usual in anime), some demented a-hole trying to become god, the tentacly elder-god kind of course.
There are more lizards in it, actually. Episode 7 has two, a male and a female, and the last episodes have a lot of them.

I have the "making of" book of the movie, and yeah, she is oddly enough, just a regular fox. The creators tried to choose animals that live in such environments, and apparently, foxes are versatile enough to live in deserts.
And yep, she is just so beautiful. You reminded me (again) that I still have to draw some R34 of her - yes, oddly enough no-one has done it yet, they focused on Beans.

Maybe because Beans is one of the main character set while Angelique, as you had pointed out, has only a few lines (heck, since now I haven't even know her name!), so it is hard to define her personality well.

True, but she did make a big impression on me. Heck, a lot of characters did who had only a few scenes - like that scorpion guy with a meathook tied to his tail you see in the bar scene.
I always liked Angelique's personality - she is the "classy" girl who doesn't even try to hide her disdain towards people she considers below her (like Beans), even though before she became a secretary, it has been strongly implied in the extended scenes that she was a prostitute too. But, she is not a villain, she is only in it for the money and the status while it's done so-so-legally - once the Mayor brings in Jake and actually threatens to kill Beans, you can see how shocked Angelique is, even though she doesn't like Beans - and she is not seen again with the Mayor's thugs, meaning she probably quit there and then.
