Spent some time last night working on this. :> Lineart took about 40 minutes, coloring took maybe another 20-30.
I'm kinda proud of how this turned out, honestly. Now that my art block is starting to vanish and I've gotten the hang of this tablet and SAI for the most part. >3> Hell, the lineart turned out good by itself, and I was worried the coloring/shading/highlighting would turn out like total poop, but it sorta didn't. Pose could do with some work maybe, but oh well.
But yeah, just felt like drawing some Metal Sonic after all the nostalgia I've been getting from Sonic Generations. Probably one of my favorite villains ever, especially in the OVA. He has a kickass battle theme in Generations, too. :3

The thing about Metal is that they tried to rehash him too much. Sure, he was pretty cool to get upgrades in Sonic 3 & Knuckles so that he could become Super using the Master Emerald, and his return to Heroes was initially badass, but then they got to Metal Overlord and it's like, "you're kinda pushin' it there, Sega." I definitely think Metal's more enjoyable as just a pure counterpart to Sonic... well, disregarding Shadow, anyway.
