5 years ago a special dobie took in a kitty and gave him a loving heart and home. 5 years later we're still together. A lot has happened since then. He waited for me to be his first. He came out to his family. He went back to school. All of this so that we could be closer to each other and be together. Even though we get to spend this anniversary together, we're not together yet. We're still separated by 500 miles (800km) or 1500 miles (2400km) depending; still separated by national borders. 5 years like this and still as strong as when I meekly said "Merry Christmas?". This year we get to spend Christmas with his family. You can see their shadows overlooking us. Fortunately at this point we know we'll be together, we're just counting down until that point.
