My art style changed starting in this issue. The early Stosstrupp stories had been done for fan-zines which were usually printed by copy machines and assembled by hand. I had to use all line are as greys would turn black or be left white. After seeing some of the stories printed in Furrlough I noticed the places where my brush had started to run dry of ink were printing as midtones, and that some stray pencil lines I had missed erasing showed up as light grey, so I started using these intentionally in my artwork, a stle which I kept using until a few years ago when I went to digital shading for my current
rossweisse comic.

Really depends on the morale of the troops. Iraqi troops in the Gulf War gladly surrendered to drones or journalists because they were mostly conscripts who didn't want to be there and had been left in the desert with few supplies. While Japanese troops in WW2 would usually fight to the bitter end against impossible odds because they felt what they were fighting for was more important than their own lives. That's why the Eurasian general sees wearing down the morale of the enemy by bringing in a Psychological Warfare unit as the best way to bring an end to this.
