Because of her mix breeding surgery is highly unlikely for her due to the arteries in her wings being main arteries and would cause her to bleed out within moments of them being removed.

But the other answer I want to give you is this. Yes surgery can alter your beauty but why should someone have to change themselves in order to be beautiful and accepted? All people are beautiful it is society that isn't beautiful for it makes judgements on covers alone. SO many girls are dying to be beautiful and even some young men. Kaida is my representation of this. That there is nothing wrong with who you are and the first step of being beautiful is accepting the beauty within you first.

Alright, I see what you mean, however, it wasn't my intent to focus on her beauty entirely but more so her personal feelings and thoughts about having the wings. While I fully understand the complexity of this topic, I believe the real questions still stands true setting aside the beauty portion and to discover what Kaida truly feels. I suppose you being her creator, you'd have to get into character with her to decide what she should do.

The emotion in the piece is astonishing for just a sketch. Nicely done.

Note that "just a sketch" was in no way meant to infer sketches are a somehow lesser form of art. I just feel that it's more difficult to produce emotional impact with a black and white color palette as opposed to using a full range or color or grayscale.
