Because something is similar to another doesn't make it a rip-off. Sure they may be inspiration behind it from a source but it doesn't make things a rip-off. It was said before. We're all rip-off if this logic is to hold true. Unless we are some sort of cheese wolf who feeds on tree roots and only drinks the purest infant blood then we are all part of something already taken. Chuckles may or may not have been inspired through someone else but it does not make it a rip-off. Even if it were a rip-off, there is no copyright to it and is free to be used as seen fit. I've had people imitate parts of my fursona and am actually flattered by it rather than insulted.

TL:DR - It's not ripped off. Inspired? Maybe. maybe not. But not ripped.

I do have to agree that it does look quite similar to that other dude's character. Maybe not a rip off, but it is pretty rare for such a rare species to look EXACTLY like the other one with not even a little difference in the placement of hair/fur. The body should atleast have a little bit of a different shape to it to give it it's own look. :/ If you compare them side by side it look as if the gray dude just changed his color and added some tattoos. o.o

Not saying I think it's a rip off. Just that maybe you should play around with some of the lengths of hair/fur and the placement so it doesn't look so similar. And maybe change up the proportions of the character.
