"I'm relatively new to the fursuiting aspect of furry; but within that short time, I've enjoyed the experience. Although not worn to help with socializing, I admit it's refreshing to reduce some assumptions every now and then, and just simply be seen as a big chipper mustelidae. :3 That, or to bring a smile to those whom grew up with a love for stoats and weasels through classic English literature like myself. My fursona and I are similar in personally, so I'm the same whether in or out of suit; though I've danced more with it on than I ever would have without.
Fursuit hygiene is important to me because, well, it's pleasing to the senses! It would also be difficult to keep one's white fur fresh and well-groomed without routine maintenance. ;3 It's likewise important for first impressions, and just common consideration when representing myself, and our community. I try to leave a positive mark whenever I suit in public - with both furs and non-furs alike. My suit was made as a generous gift by a great friend, and with that I plan to treat it with TLC to last for years to come."
