Geez, this is one of the incidents that led to the full-on assault by security on the last page?

In that case, I feel pretty shitty for Mint.

I can see being frustrated with a derpy co-worker who seems to muck everything up, but...
I can't imagine calling security on someone just because they annoy me or they are incompetent.

Unless Mint soon proves herself to be a legitimate danger, I would have to consider this a pretty intolerant and frightening "Comic Universe".

Not hating. It's just that the last page where Mint was accosted by security and searched kind of left a knot in my stomach.

I bet something else happens. Like a larger set of horrible events all started by the coffe.

Her treatment upon returning to her former place of employment seems to indicate Mint is a malicious, dangerous person.
However, I somehow doubt that's the case.

I just can't see screaming in someone's face over spilled coffee and dropped dishes.

Maybe I'm nice to a fault, but thus far I don't see any good reason to hate Mint to the point of wanting to see misfortune befall her.
I've worked with some jerkwads, scum-bags, drunks, lazy-good-fer-nothin's too. Though, I wouldn't want to see them being hassled by the police for no good reason (similar to getting hassled by security when you have a legitimate reason for being somewhere).

For some reason it really left a bad taste in my mouth to see someone who's small, weak, and stupid being bullied.

Surprisingly, I don't feel that much pity for Voiyen in this flash-back.

If you can't stay awake for 15 min while a new pot is brewing then maybe you need to switch to something stronger (doing rails of cocaine before coming to work).

sokki's new to writing comics, and is working really hard to figure out how to pace things properly. he hasn't quite figured out how to convey everything he needs in a single page flashback yet. this is all very much a learning process.

mint's going to have everything turn out good in the end. and her coworkers can be a bit bullying and grumpy...but the comic is meant to be slapstick (not serious) and so comedic violence is a bit par the norm for it.

i can't say for certain because i'm not the writer, but i suspect it was a much larger scenario which lead to the firing than just this.
