Then, it's not about her real youth I suppose?
I mean, older gem seems to be ... older, like, not only adult since she's a lawyer or something. And everything seems to hint that the dream is about, uh, nowadays, since the cam is numerical for instance, and since the other kids were wearing disposable diapers before (though these things have been around for long now)

I think that is part of the mystery! :)

i figure adult gem was between 24 and 27 so there would be disposable diapers. what gets me is the digital cam. that so wasn't around in the 90s so this has to be something going on in this decade right?

I was born in 91 and had disposable diapers but I don't know for how long they existed before. For the digital cam, the first I've ever seen was the one my father bought back in 2000, which was still sort of early I think...

I dunno, I'm gonna check wikipedia.

I think grown-up Gemma said she was 35 in an early strip, didn't she? So pre-disposables, more or less. ^.^
