*Ahem*
Greetings oh civilized dabblers in anthropomorphic entertainment.
Over the course of the last few months, I have noticed more than a few individuals comparing my avatar Andreas to several wellknown personas of popular fiction and cinema.
And while that might be considered flattering, the fact that several of those personas are considered to be of the, let's be honest, less that agreeable sort, it does tend to lower the glamour somewhat.
In response to these perhaps less than appreciated assosciations, I have commissioned the respectable artist know in some circles as Karno to illustrate a small fiction demonstrating my possibly exaggerated , but still at least fairly plausible reaction to this somewhat questionable form of complimenting.
*End civilized response*
Alright boys, let the Tazmanian Devil out!

Yeah, Andreas is a nice guy, but there are some things that just plain pisses him off. XD

Hahahahaha, hilarious comic. But I can imagine you'd get a bit pissed off if some Lovecraft fans actually did that. And personally, I refuse to watch any of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies because female fans flock to Jack Sparrow like he's a freakin' sex idol or something. And the Twilight saga is even worse.
The first 10 seconds I see anything with tentacles on their face I think Cthulu, but after that I see more detail and then it becomes it's own thing. I guess people have just come to expect Cthulu references every time they see tentacle face...or as you show Davy Jones now...which I don't even think about honestly.
I like the comic though, absolutely hilarious. I can honestly see people doing this too...which is sad.
By-the-by, I personally like your...what would the term be...scalesona? Very original, and the tentacles (at least in my opinion) work quite well as a beard substitute (I'm guessin that's what you were shootin for)...which may be where the Davy Jones stuff comes from now that I think about it.

You know, I can relate to this so, so much. I can't even wager a guess how often I've gotten "is your name from M*A*S*H/Marvel/The Last of the Mohicans?"
No. No it is not. And while it's certainly a valid inquiry, it does become wearing after the eleventy billionth time I've heard it.
