That's not helpful. Pride is something that should be held close, but willing to accept 'help' in order to better the owner of said pride. Not willing to learn or continuing to shape your art to better itself is a skill dead in the water.

I suppose yes, people will continue to say, "OFMG It is AWESOME! IT IS LIEK TEH GREETEST THING EVER." Is that what you want? Instead of someone else pointing out a glaring, or even a minute detail? Being able to know the difference between critique, sucking up, and bashing (trolling) is key.

A compliment would be more along the lines of, "Oh, those clothes look good. They match your complexion." The underline is the reasoning behind the compliment, making the statement a compliment. I suppose that within doubt they could be considered bland, face value comments, generated at pure random, not wishing to 'hurt your feelings,' or, not giving a remote crap, and leaving a comment to say, 'oh yeah, I saw it, here's proof, see? I even left a comment.'
