" We were just friends, enjoying the company of one another. It was getting late and she did not feel like going back home. So, I suggested that we watch a movie while laying on the bed for a while. I am honest and loyal, so I try not to put any moves on her. Sometimes, I see her as more as a friend, but I never admit to it. She decided to use my body as her pillow as we watched the movie. I said nothing or suggest anything.
" I looked up at the clock. It was past midnight and the movie was over. I was about to ask her what she thought of the movie, when I realized that she was sound asleep on my chest. I love that. I actually spent last night like that at a dear friend's house. We have sleepovers at least every week or two, especially now since my home-life has become... difficult. I find a sweet sanctuary in his house and in his bed, when pajamas stay on and the simple act of cuddling together is enough to relax me into sleep.
This is a beautiful work. The details and shading and all the folds in their clothing and the sheets are absolutely stunning. You must have endless patience to finish so much minute linework and not get completely fed up with the whole process. The moment itself is beautiful, and I think it speaks to me as much as it does because it's scarily close to the night I started dating my mate, and cuddling like that is still our favorite way to spend time. Altogether a gorgeous, touching piece, love.
