And you really have no idea how much I, and really all the soldiers, appreciate that. And it's people like you we fight for.
I haven't done anything yet, except for basic and ait, but I am scheduled for afghanistan in the future, so...yea lol

And I agree as an active duty serviceman, it really is nice to see strong support from our civilian side, it really is what makes everything worthwhile when you have someone you dont even know looking after you whether you want it or not over a commitment you made to our well being as a whole, As I stated in the journal, I would bid, but its already above what I have for my fun spending limit. Good on you though, Glad to see that some people arent afraid to put up some love for a soldier they've never met ^^

There are many people who don't support the troops (some are a little more assertive about it than others) but I will always support soldiers! I may not support the current war but I understand that there are MANY different motives for why people become soldiers and many of them just want to serve their country because they think it's the right thing to do.
I am definitely not afraid to support them, because when soldiers come back many of them need all the support they can get! I guess I just feel to help, especially when someone so strong like a soldier is suddenly thrown in to a life where they lose their independence, things that us unharmed citizens take for granted every day.

Would do the auction but am afraid my personal spending limit has been reached and don't want to bid over such. I still would support our troops as my family has a big list of vets in it. My grandfather was in the Army Air Corps (died on July 4th when I was 10), my father is a retired Navy vet, and my brother is currently out of the Army having served in the reserves and National Guard. I do however like your art and characters though so cute and hope to commission you eventually.

my grandfather was in WWII but he doesn't really talk about it much; i dont think its that he witnessed horrible things, just no good stories i guess. however every year me and my mom run a day at the local high school i used to go to for a bunch of WWII veterans to come in and talk about their experiences. its pretty neat! it's a shame because they're all getting so old, soon enough they'll all be gone.
id love to get a commission from ya in the future!

My grandfather never told me any stories either here mainly because I probably too young to ask (only knew him between 5 and 10), didn't see him often as he lived quite a distance away and when I did visit him he was mostly drunk or too absorbed into his tv sports. He still cared about me though just didn't get to do much with him as he was my only living grandfather I knew, my mother's father died 3 years before I was born. Will definately keep an eye out for when you do take commissions or such in the future (provided they aren't auction based)
i never auction off commissions unless its a premade dragon design or something like this :P
auctions can be fun but i think its good to have set prices because then everyone has a fair chance! ^^
and i'm sorry to hear that, i kinda had the same situation. dad's father died before i was born, and my mom's dad (current grandpa) is down in florida and i didn't actually get to meet him until i was 14... i don't really see him as a grandfather because of that. it's kinda a shame because hes trying to make up for not being there for us but eehh.

I would also send money but if I am going to support any troops with my money I do hope it is understandable that I would support my own troops here in England, though it does not mean I have anything against your troops in America, I simply wish to support the boys and girls fighting for us too. They are fighting out there against an enemy that hates us deeply and all for the sake of oil, it is terrible and they should be coming home instead of having to do the dirty work of the politicians who think oil is all that matters

thats completely understandable! ^^ i wouldn't blame ya. Very sweet comment that I agree with 100%. I just wish this war would end. These soldiers are dying or coming home injured for nothing.. this war was promised to end years ago and yet we still see our soldiers fighting a pointless war.
Regardless of my feelings towards this war, I still want to help those who still wanted to fight for our country because there are MANY different reasons people enlist in the military and it's wrong to say they are horrible people when its those who are SENDING them to these places that are horrible.

That is what I said too for our troops can only do what they are ordered to do which is to go into a hopeless war and continue to fight, to die and to come back injured or traumatized by what they go through over there, it is not fair at all and it needs to and once and for all! I agree so much about how it has gone on for too long after the promise of it "ending" after a short time, they simply want even more oil and the right to claim it. Notice how countries with no oil are never gone into or interfered with? Its a game of greed and money, to get it all, with our boys and girls the ones having to suffer for those who only care about that and none of the rest of us >.<
