It's real sad to see Gem as such a small person, if not the smallest in such a big world (Even if it is just the back yard). I've noticed she tends to interact with the bigger kids and so tends to be out of her league and out of her depth quite often and It's almost disheartening to see her struggle so. (Because the expressions are priceless and tug at my heart-strings every time.)
The paradigm/conflict here seem's that for an Infant at heart, Gem still wishes to grow up and be part of the big boys and girls group. Is this her fighting with her adult side's consciousness, or is it just natural to year for such even though the true comfort is infant-ism?

Still, the story itself is a 5 star read, I await eagerly every new page with every new day.

This part of the story is just super funny actually when you put it all together. Gem keeps trying harder and harder to hide and keeps getting easier and easier to find. :) Next somebody's gonna pin a radio to her clothes, or a bright flashing light or something. :)
