Here we have a young Ascari sitting on the back of a MTM when he was in the military. He hated riding them as he felt pretty vulnerable on them.
Was inspired a while back to have a go at my own Big Dog robot design after seeing a bunch online, but thought it would make a useful multi terrain mount for transporting troops and tons of extra gear. Thought having six legs would be more stable, as it will always have three points of contact when traversing, and adjusts each leg independently to keep the ride flat for the riders. At the end of each leg is a multi grabber ball foot with a surface coating like a gecko/badzooks for the ultimate gripping ability.
Was fun to paint some guns again :0
thanks to my mates for the advice during this pic!
Here is a bunch of colour studies I did for this https://www.furaffinity.net/view/7989218/

Thanks!
This started with a basic daytime colour scheme, then I threw colour overlays on top to create those different lighting situations, like a dark blue/purple for the night pic etc.
I tried that paint in greyscale thing for the Darryl the panda pic, and it felt like I was repainting the whole thing over again when adding the colour. So I'm just going to stick to having a desaturate layer effect at the top of my pic to switch too :]
