Go to a baseball card shop. They have a lot better selection and variety than you'll find at a comic shop. I found some super heavy thick cases that are freaking awesome, but really too thick to mail.

Nice! Cause seriously, for nicer badges, those little clip on slips just seem kinda flimsy and ruinable.

The super heavy cast plastic cases aren't meant to be hung- they are slabs only. But I found and ordered some self adhesive badge clips to convert them to badges. Problem is that they end up heavy like a pack of playing cards and not very wearable.

I went for the heaviest sidewall polycarbonate sleeves I could find, large enough that I could slot punch the top to ensure they would not fall out easily. While I love laminates, art cards are too thick for that purpose.

Didn't think about the weight. (Why I'm probably not in fashion)

Now I'll have to actually start going into hobby shops again. I'll probably end up addicted to MtG or something. All your fault

AHHHH - must doublecheck for heavier sleeves. I had two sets of sleeves at Furry Fiesta - one was so tight I had to cut the card out to get it free. :D But yes, you don't laminate them.
