Welcome to my new serial: Paradise. I hope you’re ready for a wild ride, because that’s what I’m aiming for. It’s a science-fiction, post-apocalyptic tale of revolution, love, and death in the last civilized placed on Earth--though calling it “civilized” might be going a bit far.
Though I’m marking it “general,” this story is intended for mature audiences. I dislike the censoring feature of the tags, because frankly, if you don’t read it, you don’t know if you can handle it. However, this story contains graphic language, sex, and violence. If you can’t stomach that, then I’d steer clear of most books from now on. Oh, and also this story.
The year: unknown
Location: Paradise
Population: too many
The city is called Paradise, and for its inhabitants it might as well be that. Rampant crime, suicides, police brutality, and class discrimination, all beneath a giant dome that turns the twisted weather outside into a continual snowfall from a sky black as pitch regardless of the time of day--this is their home. It’s the only civilized place. Beyond the high outer walls, tornadoes, hail, and lightning will rip you apart. Inside the inner walls, the ruling elite does its best to forget about the pitiful waste of humanity that inhabits the space between the two. Still, living in this hell has to be better than the alternative.
Right?
Welcome to Paradise
