Link and his shadow are learning to get along, but Link is restless. A hero without a quest, he sets off in search of adventure, but the quest he finds won't be the kind of quest he wanted.
And here begins the Majora's Mask bit, though as always I do my best to keep it readable for those who haven't played the game. :)

When I read Chapter 11 (the first part I read, I thought Shadow was the name Link gave to the Fierce Deity. Boy, was I wrong! This is so much cooler. 8D
I've played both OOT and MM all the way through, so I know this story. The fresh, detailed take on an already-beautiful tale is just...beyond words. Not many things can make me want to cry, but the last few paragraphs of this chapter came damn close. That was easily one of the most inspiring things I've ever read.
Link's situation with Shadow makes WAAAAAY too much sense! The transition between games left me wondering, and a lot of Link's unusual mannerisms in MM that once looked meaningless suddenly make sense. Your version of the adventures of the Hero of Time will forever be canon in my eyes. <3
