I don't wanna flood my submissions with car pics. Just popping this into scraps because someone is going to be using it for something.

On of the key aspects of the DeLorean was supposed to be longevity and free from corrosion. The stainless steel panels are bolted to a fiberglass underbody that is mounted to an epoxy coated steel X frame. The only problem is the epoxy cracks and chips away allowing moisture in, which can rot the steel frame. DeLorean found out about this and the late 82s and all 83s have undercoating sprayed on top of the epoxy for extra protection. So the underside of mine is in pretty good shape with only a few spots that need some touch up but yeah I still put the car away as soon as it starts to snow.
Jealousy! Insane jealousy!
And thats coming from a guy that was lucky enough to sit in one once... Even had the barcode licence plate on it.
None of the other gear though.
What'd she cost you, and how's she drive? Cos the closest I'm gonna get to owning one is the poser model I have <_<

I paid almost $18000 for the car about 3 years ago. I have put about another 3000 into the car since then. Out on the open road the car drives amazing. Its a total joy cruising the highway. With the Lotus suspension the car feels very solid and isn't all over the road. City driving is a different story. With the limited visibility and manual steering the car is a chore in tight spots. The turning radius is awful. Plus the gearbox doesn't have that smooth throw like other sports cars. Feels like your shifting a truck so being in stop and go traffic is kinda crappy too. Even with its downsides the car totally makes up for it in style.
I guarentee that it was not CG'd.
The flying train in BTTFIII, that was CG'd and you can tell. The flying delorean, in the wide shots, probbably CG'd. Close shots, it was the 'hero' car held up on a forklift. You can tell by the way the front always hits the ground first. But the one in part 1, all hero car.

Let's not be hasty in calling it CG, considering the movie's age.
Most of the shots were accomplished by chroma-keying miniatures in, coupled with strategic shots using the hero cars.
I've got a picture from a month ago of me hanging out in front of the BTTF 3 hero DeLorean and the accompanying train car they used for some shots. They've not really taken good care of it and it needs some restoration....

I might get this car from the DMC company in Houston. Built to my specifications. I think they come with power steering and a better gear box. You can even get an electric powered one. Range is about 160 miles. I am doing an online income opportunity that will allow me to get one in a year.

Sweet I had seen one in St ives cornwall http://www.treasureparks.com/
I have totally gone through the entire car mechanically and the car is super sound now. Few small things right now on the agenda are fixing the temperature and oil pressure gauge. There is bad connection somewhere.
Everywhere I go I get people asking about the car. I do occasionally get offers but I am never going to sell my dream car.

Ugh, luckily mine was a driver and PRV-6s are terrible, go with a GN swap if you got the extra cash and DMC-H seems to have gone up in price to almost DeLorean One prices. But man they are fun to cruise around in! I'm tempted to get another sometime but the price is just not right. I'd look to do a built up Grand National swap on one if it ever comes around again!
Funny, I found a link to it on Imgur http://imgur.com/gallery/Tegydqb
