Built by Arsenal de Cherbourg of France, SMD Ouessant served the French Navy from 1978-2001. Then she's decommissioned and eventually bought by Malaysian Navy (Ouessant is included in the sales package of two other Malaysian navy's submarine, the KD Tunku Abdul Rahman and KD Tun Abdul Razak) as a training submarine to train the crews of both of the submarine listed above. Plans to use SMD Ouessant as a museum submarine was announced in 2009 and she's formerly transferred to the Malaysian government in 2011, after that she finally laid to rest in Klebang, Melacca as a museum submarine.
I was lucky enough to have a look on that sub, while visiting my grandparents(mother side)that stayed at Malacca, my aunt decided to bring me and my siblings to the Ouessant sub museum and that's why I've got these photos
