This is KD Hang Tuah, is one of the frigates operated by the RMN (Royal Malaysian Navy). Originally built for Ghana by the Yarrow Shipbuilders, Scotstoun , the order was being cancelled by the new Ghana government so the ship was modified to Royal Navy standard and served the Royal Navy at Far East as HMS Mermaid in 1973 and was based at Singapore. Then in 1977 she was transferred to RMN and replaced the old Hang Tuah, the ex-Loch-class frigate HMS Loch Insh. Although also named Hang Tuah in RMN service but the pennant number F76 was retained by the RMN. Today KD Hang Tuah still in service with RMN as a training ship and was based in Lumut, Perak
