Don't know what to say about this but I hate doing BGs. MEH! Kinda like her though, I didn't totally kill the wings like on my last two winged pieces.
Actually had fun learning wings and should be able to do better next time. Took a while to see what was going on in spots.
The paper is not white. color is close.
Definitely would like some critique on this one.
Shot with camera with normal meh results.

I didn't even want to get into nearly this much detail in the BG but it just happens with me. I am going back in to work on things but I'm basically out of time, going to get it professionally scanned first thing in the morning and then off to AC with it Tuesday. I'll do even more I suppose before it goes into the art show.

This is a stunning piece of work... I wish I was going to Anthrocon, I'd love to buy this from you... (actually, just about any of your recent work would be nice to have... Talimaandia and Guardian of the Ghost Cats are really nice too)

Hi Prof, Started on the character a week ago Saturday and worked on it off and on that weekend and a little bit in the evenings after work and finished her Friday. The BG was done last weekend. For me, If I can get a character done in a week, that's fast. Her body was a bit smaller than I usually work with but the wings were huge and I was experimenting with them all the way. Finally found a technique I liked on the last few feathers then went back to try and make them all match.
