This poster has been created for two reasons, firstly to be placed on the doors of upper Crunch and the doors leading to lower Crunch to remind the public those areas have been privately booked and to deter them going through the routine of wandering in, looking around at all the tails and fursuits and doing a u-turn.
Secondly, posters are cool. We fully intend on utilising the MancFurs brand where possible and you'll see the graphical style is in keeping with previous graphical products Stuart has created.
The added bonus of the MancFurs colour scheme (origins explained here) is that they are visual striking colours already associated with warning signs and messages, which suits the purpose of the poster.
The hazard stripes are a nod to the orange and black hazard stripes often associated with the graphical branding of Manchester's famous Factory Records, specifically The Haçienda.
The stencil lettering and 'worn-off' print effect are a hommage to Greater Manchester's industrial past.
These posters start going into use for the July mini meet 2012, they will be A3 size and it will have cost a pretty penny to print so please avoid damaging them (ironic statement considering it already has false-damage effects on it).
