So this last weekend I was at this Anthrocon thing. While there, I picked up this bit of awesome from the fantastic
Sapphire of
mangoislandcreations fame! I'm very happy how this came out. What more, its kind of huge. Aka, this is all of it I could fit on my scanner at once. Once I play with my new scanner a bit I'll see about reconstructing it from smaller scans if I can.
The scene takes place in the late 1930s or perhaps as late as 1945. Despite our friendship, I and the lady Genius (yes, its her name, it means something different in her own language ) find ourselves as leaders of opposing factions trying to control the tiny nation of Pargalo. To avoid needless bloodshed, the various factions have banned war and instituted a system of ritualistic duels to settle disputes and challenges.
And yes I might be a bit taller than her, and out weigh her by quite a bit. But... she's about to kick my ass.

There's a story behind the reason for the whole scene of course. The setting of Pargalo is not one that was prone to having a very modern military tradition, instead keeping with more traditional (and thus more 'honorable') types of combat up until the troubles began. The ritualistic duels (and the whole get up involved) was to try to track back to that older style to encourage the new status quo as being a normal thing for the more traditionalist minded citizens.
Of course it all falls apart eventually.
