So recently I loaded up my Mercedes with
flameinferno and drove with a bunch of other Lost Canadians down to Leavenworth, Washington to attend the 'Leavenworth Drive' event which hosted well over 1000 cars this year.

I'm glad you aren't in prison... that wouldn't be good. And.. wow... that is in good shape for an '85. I almost bought an '85 560SEL once from a doctor who apparently had bought it brand new way back when and was finally selling it. Diesel is like THE ones to get, though if you are out for good mileage.
Yeah... I'd be killed pretty quick in prison...
And yes, it's in very good condition for the year. Was owned by 2 older couples that never drove it in the winter. Car only had 175 000Km on it when I got it. Has 203 000Km now. Too bad the previous owners neglected to do valve adjustments on it, cause now the cam is worn on a few lobes. Gotta change that out this winter.
Also thinking about putting it on air bags this winter too. Just cause a slammed Benz looks awesome.

Quite low mileage on that car, then. Most Benzes I see around that era have over 300K miles on them. So yea... you aren't even at half-life on that car yet. ;=8)
All in all, sounds like you got a good car there. If the engine ever dies in my car, I'd like to put a diesel in it (if it can be worked out, that is).

Yes, very low mileage. Nearly all others I've come across have tons of miles on em.
It has been a great car so far. Still needs a few little nit picky things, but overall, it's great for how old it is.
You can put a diesel in nearly any car if you are creative enough and have enough cash. What are you trying to convert?
