Oh, I'm not doubting there are people capable of this.. moreso Spider wouldn't do it. In fact, that's what gets me the most, someone being naive enough to trust all of 5000 strangers won't steal some of their property.

Heh, I'll admit I'm sorta guilty of this. Just about every fur con I go to I wind up hanging out with a random assortment of friends and people I just met. And there's almost always one guy who spends 90% of the weekend at our table and ends up watching everybody's stuff. Last con I'd only known the guy who became 'table guy' for about fifteen minutes before leaving my laptop and stuff there.
Well I hope that people have a more interest in me by my art, tastes in culture, or hobbies. Furry can play into these things but often furry is a small theme of tastes and behavior in a much larger scheme of someone's personality.
Its like enjoying spicy food- you can say you enjoy spicy food but what kind of spice? Mexican, southwest, northeast, Indian, Japanese, Chinese? Any of these all have "spiciness" in common but vastly different flavors and presentations.

he knows your a furry and he knows that your an artist. so with that in mind the bag was actually a donation to you and your artwork from the start. if he said "I liked your stuff" or "your drawings are great" it would mean he would be commissioning you.

I remember this happening at a local anime convention. i was in my *Crappy* suitish thing, and some suiter did the EXACT THING DISPLAYED HERE. Only reason I didn't walk away and let something happen to the dumbfuck was because I didn't want to get accused of being the thief if something happened after I walked away, but I made a point to give him a few strong words when he came back out.
