Gosh the scanner really butchered these...a lot of the detail was lost here, or maybe it is just my eyes! Both of these cuties have completely burned hair all over them so they are textured! The one that surprised me the most out of these two was Mika, she is a glowfur(very neat concept!) so I knew coloring was a major part of her character. When adding color to wood burnings it is always a tricky thing. Too much color and you lose the essence of the burn. The wrong color you can bring attention to the grain more than you want and can ruin a picture. I really added on the color for both of these but I think the colors ended up complimenting the burn very well =)
This is wood burning, the color was added by using watercolor pencils and a glow in the dark gel pen for Mika's markings and eyes!

Yay!!
I still have to put a couple more coats of clear finish on them and then I can mail them out to you!! =D I have been trying to see if the ink actually glows on Mika but I haven't been able to tell, so far as I could see it does not =( The pen I used was in the dark a long time so I have no idea if that effected it at all, but she is still my favorite! Shes just so darn cute!!! =P
