This is an idea for a new race we just created.

Luminaries are a race of magical creatures who exist in another realm. They can be brought into our world for brief periods by the crafting of very special magical candles.

So long as the candle burns, the characters exist within our world. Whoever has possession of the candle can exert a certain degree of control over the Luminary.

A Luminary will often grant wishes or boons to their candle holder in exchange for the freedom to wander the world.

The design of the candle is reflected in the physical form of the Luminary and they can come in a variety of colours. Their eyes glow the same colour as the magical light of their candle.

This race was created by  tak and  salmagundi. We'll probably be making more of these and perhaps doing some custom adoptables later.
