Roodaroo Rebuild PVC Ears
Fursuit heads that feature tall ears such as rabbits or similar face the problem of transporting them without damaging those ears. Sometimes just coming up with a solid mount is tricky.
Enter PVC pipe.
I took a couple of 1 1/4" PVC pipe sections and a slip over collar/union to make a mount that is fixed in place on the head wire frame and then the ears are mounted/glued to the removable collar. This means I can remove the ears for transport or even turn them to different positions for different effects.
One warning though- make sure you have a semi-firm fit. Not too tight that you damage the head removing them, but not too loose or the ear might fall off while you're in suit- ask Tibo about that one! :)
If you do find the ear is too lose, a bit of masking tape around the bottom mounting post can firm it right up.
