How does he maintain a sterile fieild when doing such invasive work? How does one ensure the rerouting of blood flow doesn effect organ systems and oxygen supply to those organs. If your having trouble with the circulatory system then you will not be able to get to the brain. And good luck geting through the BBB (blood brain barrier).
He's not really trained for neurological work as it'd be too risky for him to do with his normal method, it's more efficient to leave that to the specialists and have him work on more generalized problems. He cannot use smaller veins and arteries (capillaries are completely out of the question) as he'd not want to risk killing any tissue if his concentration lapsed. He can disperse oxygen if needed, but it takes concentration away from the actual surgery, so tends to only work if he's helping on an emergency case and is not the sole operator. Your other points I'll likely address in an image at a later date.
A very good question indeed seems to deserve a very good answer. I rather liked the explanation here. Makes me wonder if you wouldn't mind either letting me borrow F.E.L.I.X. or if you'd consider making one like him for my interstellar exploration crew. We could use all the cutting-edge medical tools and help we can get.
I have a couple of questions> #1 Why do you take on a gryphon form? Can you take other forms? #2 What will you do if a patient seems afraid of you if you are about to preform a procedure? #3 Do you do follow up examinations? #4 How can I experience your methods up front and first hand to be sure they are absolutely safe? #5 Are there any side effects of your procedures?
sorry. more than a couple. X3

If you haven't already, would you please go put your questions on the journal xD? This ended up being more popular that I anticipated so I'll lose track of questions otherwise >__>
