See what art block does to me? This sucks.
I am posting this so someday it will be the "Before" to my "After" once I actually learn how to paint WELL.
Gray, gray, and more gray. But it's how I've been feeling.

Time to break out of that block. Try a different medium. Play with clay for a while. Try drawing a character that is totally out of whack for you. Try...
A neon colored spikey haired dragon against an acid trip background. That should give you a chance to use a lot of marker colors you don't normally use.

I know what you mean, but if you dont paint much, this is preety damn good. First painting I did, and it was only grays, and actually looking at a ref. is http://www.furaffinity.net/view/798723/

I suppose it depends on how you look at the piece. To me, it exudes character, especially in the lighting/highlights on the hand. I can't remember the name of the artist that it reminds me of, unfortunately, but I've seen the style before, and I personally think it looks great.
Then again, I enjoy a lot of abstract & non-photorealistic artwork, so perhaps my view is a bit biased against photorealism. :)
