Garrett is obviously going to be a much darker character than the rest. He's had a hard life and has had to fend for himself, watching his own back. He doesn't like it when others put themselves in danger for his sake, so he tries to distance himself from them.
Anyway, this little guy will be my visual reference for a fennec fox. I thought he looked angsty/aggressive enough to fill Garrett's persona nicely.

He's a character i'm creating, don't worry about it. Garrett has... issues. He's the anti-hero (aka the one nobody likes until he saves the day). Anyway, the idea is that he's an ex-thief that used to be school friends with one of my other characters, Isaac.

I have 6 characters so far. I'm also adding photos of each sort of animal to my page for references. Besides Garrett, I also have one for Sloan, the badger.
