So, I think my fiance
iceblueeyes is good luck. Why? Well, last weekend on Sunday I came home from being at his place to find that my King snake had begun pipping. Monday morning, he was out.
Last night I was once again at my boyfriend's house. Three of my corn clutches have been overdue. One was at day 71, the others now at day 66.
I come home and immediately go to check on eggs. I don't just find ONE clutch pipping but TWO. The day 71 clutch is finally pipping and one of the day 66 clutches was pipping. Two in each! Or so I thought..
As I was inspecting the eggs and brushing some of the vermiculite away, I noticed "HOLY CRAP ONE OF THE EGGS IS EMPTY!" ..one I THOUGHT was a dead egg. Nope. I VERY CAREFULLY moved the eggs and dug through the vermiculite. And, low and behold, this little beauty DARTS OUT AT ME!
And that wasn't the only surprise. THE DARN THING IS A STRIPED CORN SNAKE!
Am I pissed? NO! I am excited! Why? Because my Ultramel Motley just proved to be het stripe. There's no telling what else he is het as well, so I'm expecting some interesting babies to come out. And, what's more, this gal is a female!
So yes, here is the first out. So far, I see two albino's poking their noses out of their eggs. Will check on them in an hour or two as I don't see myself getting much sleep tonight....and here I have work in the morning.
Omg, I am so excited. And so happy. =)
So, what is this girl all together?
Normal stripe het anery, amel or ultra ph (possible het) hypo.
