"Polly" is a song by the American grunge band Nirvana. Kurt wrote the song after reading a newspaper article about the abduction, torture and rape in June 1987 of a 14-year-old girl by Gerald Arthur Friend who had picked her up near the Tacoma Dome in his car after she had attended a rock concert.

Not bad. It's a pretty easy song to play, but you guys did a decent job with it.
A couple critiques, hippie-wolfboy's vocals could be a little better, and the way he holds certain notes during the verse doesnt really work. And the "Polly said" first start, was it supposed to sound a little sloppy? cuz it was originally a mistake on the recording cuz Kurt started too soon.
Also, this isn't a critique, but I love mentioning this. The important thing about the story behind the song, the girl it's about famously played to the guy's emotions and more or less buttered him up until he willingly let her go. I think Kurt said he wrote it as a testament to her cleverness.
Were you guys together when you did this or did you just exchange files and piece them together?

sweet, a good critique is always appreciated! i agree that my verse vocals are not the best, especially when i'm holding a note. perhaps i should focus working on air support & vocal strength in future endeavors. oh, and the "polly said.." was intentionally a bit off due to that fact. thanks for giving it a listen! ^_^
