Another quick sketch and another new character? Well, yes and this time it's a bug, a big purple one. No name yet. However he's technically not a bug since there is only one pair of each arms and legs and his body is not made of chitin, instead his purple skin features tiny hexagonal scales. Also he's not from earth, so he couldn't be specified as a bug anyway buuuuuut he looks like one, so I don't care X3
Btw I'd never actually hurt bugs, they are way too cute and too much fun to watch <3

this reminds me of a story i wrote a while ago about a cricket who became gigantic and started trying to squish

He's based on a toon version of an anthro ant. I really liked the base and so I made my own thing out of it. The idea behind this design is that he is an alien and not actually an ant. Bugs don't really have quite the stompy feet for example and I also don't like him having 6 limbs.
This is pretty awesome ^^
I like the whole "Small things getting super big" idea, plus I kinda have a thing for aliens so this is definitely my thing. Also, I think the skin idea is pretty cool, mostly since I think I prefer skin/scales to cold, hard chitin ^^; Hoping to see more pictures of this guy :)
