Okay, I'm just a tad late for Shark Week, but here is my contribution nonetheless. This is a photo of the shark tank at the New York Aquarium. This photo was taken in October 2009, so I've completely forgotten what species they are. It shall remain a mystery until I can get back there to confirm the ID. I'll go with what Litkins says, these guys are probably sand tiger sharks. Thanks, Litkins!

Hey, I think that's a really good call. I just had the brilliant idea (insert eye roll here) to check the aquarium's website. Sand tiger sharks are the only species listed for the shark exhibit. Assuming they haven't changed things since then, it looks like you might be spot on! Thanks.
