And now, let's go for a little challenge, a female thompson's gazelle. It's hard to find art of those beautiful creatures, so I thought it wouldn't be a bad idea if I drew one. besides, it's good to practice animal bodies, too. Though I need some more practice... you may see more cervids like this on the future. Or maybe not. Cause I'm lazy.
I've even been fantasizing about making this character, named Susanita, into the star of a comic I've been thinking.

Indeed! Osamu Tezuka's animal series was what inclined me to draw animal cartoons on the first place, back in the early 80s. I've evolved quite a lot, got my own style and whatnot, but it's good to see that my style is still influenced by Tezuka.
The strange thing is that, while I thought Kimba was awesome when I was a little kid, I couldn't stand a single episode nowadays. I'm getting older!

LOL I probably wouldn't be able to stand it either nowadays. Ditto Speed Racer - but I was entranced as a child, which is what counts. I think the resemblance is mostly in the shape of the face and the eyes. I can certainly see the distinctions of your style. It makes a nice change from how every seems to draw variations of Balto/Lion King/modern anime.
