Around last year, I bought a knock-off Transformer toy made by a company identified as "Select" on the packaging. The toy itself is called a "Convertors - American Mini-Bot" and is probably from the same time as the early Hasbro Transformers. It looks like this: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-rsM5dgjHi.....rmers.com+.jpg (except mine has red plastic parts instead of yellow). He has a pair of stickers on his arms to tell that he turns into a convertible 1984 Chrysler LeBaron: http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4100.....d8f16c5b96.jpg
Aside from turning into a LeBaron, the character is identified as "Baron" on the package art. Naturally, I immediately thought of
Baroncoon, of whose art and dreamscapes I'm a huge fan of and would like to take the chance to advertise. :P So last night I whipped these lines up and drew him as an Autobot, modeled after the toy with a head resembling his raccoon form's face (large cheeks, pointy ears and shadows around his eyes) as a homage to him and his various incarnations. His legs are formed by the entire back of the car, seats and all, while his arms are formed by part of the doors and have the front wheels as shoulders. The rest of the car's body forms his back, with the chest and the face hidden under him when he's in car mode. I added an Autobot logo to his left leg.
This is strictly fanart: Baron belongs to
Baroncoon. I hope he likes this.
