Some of the headshots from my recent journal- practicing using references of real animals to attempt to learn and improve a little.

Note that there's no attempt to make these into any sort of style, I'm just taking from the refs more or less exactly as I see 'em and then slapping on a few of the necessary character traits. I have no plans to draw like this in serious actual pictures, these are purely for general animal practice.

As a result, some of these look pretty awful. And some of these look -extremely- awful. Some look alright though. They're just practice, so I'm not too concerned!

Looking at how many I've done now (this is the first of three uploads), I don't think I'll be colouring them all as I first expected. I might take a few of my favorites and slap some colour on 'em though, we'll see!
