Love ball pythons, had one for several years, he loved it when mom came over, for some reason he loved resting his head on her collar bone and just chillin there while she held him. Scared senseless of his waterdish though, oddest python I had ever met, but he was cool eitherway. I love how.... innocent, I guess would work here, they look when they get defensive like that. I really like this painting, the lighting on the scales is wonderfully done!

thank you, I am really focusing on my brush work and increasing the contrast in my work. I appreciate you taking notice of the lighting, it was a labor of love for me there with the client restricting me to such a small canvas size. I am really used to working so much larger and capturing nearly all the animal, so figuring out what part of a photo will give me the biggest impact took more time than I expected. And to be honest I really love it!
