just got back from my troops biannual award ceremony.
We have a unique looking altar/centerpiece/candelabra that we use.
i haven't seen any other troops with anything else quite like it.
There are twelve candles one for every point in the scout law and a thirteenth to represent spirit.

yeah that tags are separate too..i believe.. they actually button to the tablecloth or are simply weighted down by the candle holder i am not sure which...they are made out of the plastic cross stitching grids you can get at any craft store...i have no idea who made this set up but i love it
wow that is really cool....what state we are troop 414 Center Moriches New York i am one of the assistant scoutmasters...we are fortunate to have a camp in town that we frequent but we go all over the place...next weekend we are doing Gettysburg...i have made that trip multiple times and i can't go this time. but there is never a dull moment with the troop
Millington, Michigan, Troop 552! I just aged out to be an assistant scout master on Friday. We have been active in the past and in the eight years that I was involved in the troop we had a backpacking/hicking trip in Canada (twice), Picture Rocks (U.P. Mi), and the Apalachian Trail (Parts of Tennessee, North Carolina, and Georgia I believe?). Along with those, we have gone spelunking, white water rafting, Gettysburg (which is awesome and I wish I had an extra week there), Hershey Park (when we went to Gettysburg), climbing, repelling, and a host of smaller activities. We had four of our troop members working up at Paul Bunyan Scout Reservation, but because of a resent merging of the councils in Michigan, that camp is now only open for weekend festivities. =-=
