This is the first run at a Cutie Mark for my friend 
And as you can see, I went overboard with the detail... But I don't care, it's GORGEOUS (at least as far as MY art goes, lol). I've done this before... And i'll probably do it again X3
I BLAME FUCKING MLP FLASH LAZINESS!!!
But at the same time, good god, Im glad it is. XD i'd never get any MLP art done if it was all as shaded and detailed as I did here.

Nope, it's kind of like having a tattoo magically appear on your ass when you figure out your purpose in life. In MLP lore, a cutie mark appears on the thigh (they say flank, but that isn't really the right word) of a pony when they discover their special talent (the one thing they are particularly good at).
