it was intentional. . . it was actually to break up the flow of the panels, since in order to make the middle section there make sense angle-wise, (as in having characters look at the people they were replying to) all of the characters ended up facing the same way. Dhaval was actually mirrored in that panel, to break up the action a bit. I figured it wouldn't be too odd for a guy who'd never held a baby before to be shifting him around :P

I want to also point out that isolde is now sounding more high on herself by saying *with all these amurescan curs in port* ... I take a snippet from the term CUR http://www.thefreedictionary.com/CURS

Yes, that's exactly what they're saying. There aren't any bizarre hybrids in the comic so far, so. . . I'm not sure where you'd get that idea.

Ran only in theory i was thinking that if any male and female got together that it would bring on a child that has the form of the mom and maybe some markings that the dad has. being that most of the species are similar the natural form would lead to having a lot of really interesting combos of fur patterns and such.
Example if you take esha and amon and if esha had a kitten it would have the fur colors from both mom and dad so it would be dark color with a hint of the pattern from esha.
It was cause of the previous comic i noticed that there were on occasion that i saw some not-so-natural color patterns in some of the extra characters that made me think that the breeding was any male and female. The theory was based from that.

Sweet fiction set before weird science gene splicing! Seriously though I have no problem with believable hybrids. I think some furs forget that most species are reproductively incompatible, perhaps it stems from the idea that because anthros are human-like they can also breed?

Theoretically a infertile hybrid of fox and dog is possible but is highly unlikely and no such claims have been confirmed at this time.

Heh heh! Considering that they've found condoms made from sheep intestines in the cesspits of ancient castles, I'd say it's a technology that's not out of reach for this comic.
